Author Bio
Dr Richard Briggs is Tutor in Old Testament and Hermeneutics and Associate MA Director at Cranmer Hall, Durham University. He has worked with Operation Mobilisation in Belgium, done pastoral work in London, and taught at All Nations Christian College. His Phd at Nottingham University looked at 'speech-act' theory as part of hermeneutics. He has also written 'It's been a quiet week in the global village' (Triangle) and 'Reading the Bible wisely (SPCK). He is married with two children.
