Author Bio
Alan Shearer was a goal scoring machine in his prime, the first player to score 100, and 200 goals in the English Premier league, and still number one on the all time scoring charts. He was revered by the various clubs he played for, with his never-say-die attitude to the game, and the many spectacular goals he scored. He has played with some of the greats of the English game over the past 15 years - Paul Gascoigne, John Barnes, Reo Ferdinand, Michael Owen, David Seaman, and of course, David Beckham. He was captain of England, and of his beloved club, Newcastle United for ten years, and was seen as a totemic influence for both. When he played well, they won, simple as that. Sir Bobby Robson is a true legend of the game, having won major trophies both home and abroad. His spirit is mirrored in Alan Shearer, a player he rates as one of the best centre forwards in his time.
