Author Bio
Paul Thomas and Anita Taylor have been teaching drawing to undergraduate and postgraduate students since 1978 and 1987, respectively. Additionally they have developed a new forum for the recognition of contemporary drawing practice through the establishment of The Jerwood Drawing prize - the largest and most significant annual open drawing exhibition in the UK. Nick Tidnam R.B.A. is a practising painter and illustrator and a member of the Royal Society of British Artists. He regularly shows in London and abroad. He is a visiting lecturer at the Kent Institute of Art and Design and runs his own painting courses. He has contributed to Learn To Paint And Draw (Watson Guptill 2003). Curtis Tappenden is a painter and illustrator specialising in the use of watercolour. His paintings are exhibited throughout the UK and are held in collections worldwide. Curtis teaches at the Kent Institute of Art and Design and works in-house for The Mail on Sunday. Curtis is the author of The Watercolour Sketchbook Kit (Chronicle Books 2002) and Learn To Paint And Draw (Watson Guptill 2003).
