Synopsis

One crisp morning, while he is out hunting with his men, a king discovers a mysterious creature covered in a rainbow coat made from the feathers of every bird of the air. To his amazement the creature turns out to be a young girl who will not, or cannot, speak. Puzzled by her regal air but humble appearance, the king sets her to work in the palace kitchens and thinks no more about it. Sometime later he throws a sumptuous masked ball, but the lavish banquet is soon outshone when a beautiful stranger arrives. The king is captivated, yet in a second she has vanished and he does not even know her name...
