Synopsis

Roy Miles is one of the most prolific, talented and knowledgeable art dealers in the world. He once owned one of the largest galleries in London: from Canaletto to Gainsborough, from Toulouse-Lautrec to Stubbs, there are few great artists whose work has not passed through his hands. Moving in the upper reaches of society, Roy has met a host of famous and fascinating people, including Prince Charles, Princess Margaret, Ted Heath and Ivana Trump. He even organized portraits to be painted for Rudolf Nuryev and for Margaret Thatcher. This is a tale of money, deals, scandal and intrigue. Roy's life has been a blend of art, travel, the rich and the famous and this book gives you a glimpse into a world where money does the talking and the deal is all that matters.
