QUILTER'S GUIDE TO FLORAL QUILTS

QUILTER'S GUIDE TO FLORAL QUILTS

by Marion Haslam (Author)

Synopsis

Flowers and quilts seem to go together. Perhaps because so many of the traditional designs used by quiltmakers are based on nature, especially plant forms, it is possible to trace the history of Western quiltmaking in terms of floral quilts. A Quilter's Guide To Floral Quilts is a flower-lover's treasure - a gallery of floral quilts, both traditional and modern, and photographed in full colour, covers applique, patchwork, and quilting, together with floral borders (many on non-floral quilts) and quilts embellished with flowers and other plant forms. In each chapter there are blocks to make, based on historical quilts and shown step by step, to create your own heirloom quilt. Where necessary templates are included.
