Coastal Walks Around Britain

by Andrew McCloy (Author), Stephen Whitehorne (Photographer)

Synopsis

Accompanied by beautiful colour photography, Walking Coastal Britain celebrates the varied treasures to be found on the coastlines of England, Wales and Scotland. Andrew McCloy has devised 15 two- to three-day walks along sections of Britain's most famous coastal paths, which are accompanied by clear and detailed maps. His commentaries focus on the unique treats the seaside has to offer the senses, be it the squall of gulls, brisk winds or warming sunshine. He explores sites which include the rollercoaster chalk cliffs of Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters, the hidden bays of South Cornwall, the fishing villages of the North yorkshire coast and the beautiful Gower peninsula in Wales. Walking Coastal Britain is the essential companion for anyone who loves the sea and wants to gain maximum enjoyment from exploring the British coast.
