Meena Pathak's Flavours of India

Meena Pathak's Flavours of India

by Meena Pathak (Author)

Synopsis

Indian food is one of the most popular cuisines, but people are often daunted by the complexities of balancing spices or worried that cooking Indian dishes at home may be time-consuming. Written in a very personal style, Meena Pathak's Flavours of India addresses both issues, presenting 100 fabulous, fool-proof (and healthy) recipes for today's busy cooks (many taking 45 minutes or less from start to finish). Her book is packed with practical tips gleaned from a lifetime's love of food, as well as information on storing and preparing spices and lots of time-saving ideas. More than simply a recipe book, this is also a fascinating culinary journey as Meena recalls her memories of food and cooking among her extended family at home in India and in the UK and introduces those special ingredients which are the key to authentic Indian cookery. Whether this is a first book on Indian cookery or another 'must buy' cookbook for the inveterate foodie, this gloriously illustrated book makes Indian food both accessible to make and pleasurable to read about.
