Law for Home Improvers and Self-builders

Law for Home Improvers and Self-builders

by Guy Elyahou (Author)

Synopsis

This book is for anyone who is undertaking home improvements or building a new home. Doing either involves having to negotiate the law and as everyone know, this isn't always straightforward. This book gives people the information to be able to act themselves when appropriate and also when to seek legal help and aids in understanding the advice that a solicitor is likely to give. Laws and acts that people are likely to come across are explained in layman's terms on things such as buying and selling property, contracts, consumer rights, environmental law, negligence and landlord/tenant relationships. Legal processes are explained with the help of useful diagrams. This book breaks through the mystique of law by introducing the basic legal concepts that you are likely to encounter during your house-building and home improvement project.
