Be Your Own Personal Trainer

Be Your Own Personal Trainer

by TanyaWyatt (Author)

Synopsis

Advances in exercise science now show that gentle exercise that is tailored to an individual's needs and capabilities is the best prescription for lasting fitness. Be Your Own Personal Trainer sets out an easy, no-nonsense way to integrate exercise and fitness into even the busiest schedule. The author believes that exercise must be embraced as part of lifestyle change, and that it must be both fun to do and easy to commit to. Be Your Own Personal Trainer provides questionnaires to assess your fitness level and your commitment to excercise. Sections on stretching, clothing and monitoring heart rate complement the assessments, and there is coverage of gyms and gym equipment. The largest section of the book presents a range of exercise workouts, targeted towards improving cardiovascular health, strength and flexibility.
