Author Bio
Author Wayne Viljoen holds a BSc in Physiology and Human Movement Science, an honours degree in Biokinetics, and has lectured Sports Science and headed up a Sport and Biokinetics Laboratory. He qualified in Sports Massage Therapy and became a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in 1998, after studying through the National Strength and Conditioning Association in the USA. His area of specialization is resistance training programs and techniques of resistance training. Actively involved in resistance training himself for over 12 years, he has lectured extensively on this topic. Wayne is currently compiling his thesis for a PhD in Exercise Science and is actively involved with exercise programming and prescription. He coaches junior sports teams. Consultant Dr Nick Walters is an Exercise Physiologist with more than 20 years experience. Currently Vice Principal and Head of Research at The British College of Osteopathic Medicine in London, UK, Nick lectures regularly on Exercise Physiology and in particular exercise prescription.
