Synopsis

East meets West is a distinct trend in western home and garden design, emphasizing simplicity and harmony. This guide shows how elements from the traditional Japanese approach to home and garden design can be adapted to produce a tranquil look - minimalism with a human touch. By dispensing with clutter, emphasizing natural, often rustic textures and colours, creating adaptable space and rediscovering the importance of the seasons and a reverence for nature, we can turn our homes and gardens into havens of peace.
