Media Reviews
Internationally renowned mosaic artist, Martin Cheek, shares the inspiration and techniques behind his glorious works of art. Many of his designs will be recognised from magazines, especially his wildlife table - a feat of mosaic art resulting in something so spectacular it really should be in a gallery rather than a garden. But such is the durability and versatility of mosaic, it is untarnished by weather or practical use, making it one of the most popular crafts around today. Cheek's love of flora and fauna are obvious throughout the book and his easy style of writing is both enlightening and informative. From a designs inception through to its creation, Cheek's enthusiasm for his art shines through. This is a beautiful book full of ideas, ideal for the craft mosaicist looking for something a little more challenging. - Lucy Watson
