Rainforest (Fauna & Flora International)

by SaraOldfield (Author), Mark Rose (Foreword), TheBruceColemanCollection (Foreword)

Synopsis

Written by an authority at Fauna & Flora International, this book celebrates the diversity and beauty of the wealth of wildlife still remaining in the rainforest habitat, in which over half the world's living species can be found. The title describes and illustrates the major rainforests of the world, from the secret forests and exotic mammals of Madagascar to the multi-colured bird and butterfly life of Central America. The precarious paradise of the Amazon, with more plant and animal species than anywhere else on Earth, is covered in depth, as are Indonesia and the Philippines, which are home to a spectacular diversity of wildlife. Royalty proceeds from this book will go to the Global Trees Campaign.
