Media Reviews
Happy St David's Day In honour of our Patron Saint, Pont Books have published Jaco the Leek, which tells the story of one boys unusual preparations for St Davids Day on March 1st! Jaco and his brother Cai are tired of dressing up in the same old costumes every St Davids Day. But whilst Cai decides that this year, hell stick to his faithful rugby shirt, Jaco has other ideas. Jaco wants to BE a leek! So he goes to sleep with one wish in mind, and, sure enough, the next morning an amazing transformation has taken place - Jaco IS a leek! And a smelly one at that! But wishing can be a risky business, especially when it involves changing shape! How will Jaco get his pants on when he's got no legs? Will this St Davids Day be the best one yet? Or will his new body cause more problems that hed ever imagined? Jaco The Leek is a fast and funny read for 6 - 9 year olds by Cat Weatherill. -- Pont Books
