The Path to Well-being: A Christian Perspective

The Path to Well-being: A Christian Perspective

by Geoffrey Harding (Author)

Synopsis

Dealing with stress through meditation is largely the province of secular and MBS practitioners today. But the quality of our lives in terms of health, happiness and well-being depends on the workings of the inner core of our minds. It is more than physical, more than mental. True well-being lies in being true to ourselves, and honest with God. Behind the mess of daily living, the God of love is declaring himself and in him we can trust and find our peace.

Author Bio
The Revd Geoffrey Harding who died in 1983, was given the brief to 'deal with city stress' when he began ministering in 1974 at St Mary Woolnoth in the city of London. He was also, for many years chairman of the Churches' Council for Health and Healing and founded the Relaxation Society. This society promoted its methods to city workers who then discovered a refreshing new approach to religion through lunchtime classes in relaxation and meditation. This book is being compiled by the Relaxation Society. An earlier title was published in 1990 'Lying Down in Church'.
