Author Bio
Emma Wood was born in Yorkshire in 1958. She stayed on in East Anglia after reading history at Cambridge University. She did a variety of jobs after graduating including TEFL and washing up in college kitchens. She finished up as a partner in a junk stall which traded on markets throughout the area. She moved from Norfolk to Sunderland in 1987 and after two years went to Ross-shire where she now lives on the delightful Heights of Achterneed. She teaches English and creative writing, and is a freelance editor and writer. She is writing a book of short stories and is planning a study on Change in the Highlands since 1945. She has one daughter, Jasmine.
