Synopsis

Rob goes to the local common (aka The Dump) and finds a jackdaw chick there. He takes Joe the Jackdaw home, and keeps him as a pet. Well, he couldn't leave him to die, could he? Author Bio
Kathy Ashford is an Adult Education Tutor, and previously worked as Director of Communications at the University of Surrey. She likes long country walks, photography, painting and gardening - and reading. As a child she used to munch through huge amounts of fudge while enjoying works by C.S. Lewis, Alan Garner and P.G. Wodehouse. She was the only girl in a family of brothers, and she is now married with four sons! Satoshi Kitamura was born in Tokyo and worked in advertising there before moving to London in 1980. He won the Mother Goose Award for Angry Arthur and he is now one of the most distinguished illustrators in Britain.
