The police arrest his Dad (yes, with handcuffs and everything), and then the thief's thick heavies break into their house. Max and his sister have to run out into the night. If they are ever going to get Dad free, and get the baddies locked up, Max and Kaz realise they must do it themselves. After a few set-backs, Max is amazed to find himself living the life he has seen in his favourite films, even down to phoning 999 and watching the baddies struggle to break away, only to be overpowered in the end by the police!
