Author Bio
Max Velthuijs is one of Holland's most important creator of children's books, alongside Dick Bruna. He has won several awards, and has been the Dutch choice for the Hans Christian Andersen medal. He worked as an illustrator of posters, adverts and films after the war and then started working on children's books in the 1980s. He lives in The Hague with his son.
