Media Reviews
'Each story has enough twists to keep bad kids shrieking with glee' -- Amanda Craig THE TIMES 'sees Henry back on truly horrid form. Brilliant illustrations and a hilarious collection of classic stories your kids will love.' -- Natasha Harding THE SUN 'Horrid Henry is the unpleasant, conniving little mischeif maker who has nevertheless helped Francesca Simon carve out a career as a best-selling writer.' -- David Whetstone THE JOURNAL 'With the World Cup still fresh in mind, Horrid Henry and the Football Fiend has the determinedly naughty Henry competing for a prized seat at the match between his local team and Man Utd... You can't help admiring his ingenuity. Tony Ross's energetic illustrations add to the fun.' -- Angela Kiverstein JEWISH CHRONICLE 'It's easy to see why Horrid Henry is the best-selling character for 5-8 year olds. He's a modern day Just William. Henry might be unbelievably naughty, totally wicked and utterly horrid, but he is frequently credited with converting the most reluctant readers into enthusiastic ones... superb in its simplicity.' LIVERPOOL ECHO 'Wonderfully anarchic fun for new readers and Henry fans alike. The football scene was reminiscent of several of this summer's World Cup matches!' -- Adam Guillain JUNIOR EDUCATION 'My children love Horrid Henry as much as I loathe him. While I tut at his bad behaviour, they delight in teh one-boy crimwave's ability to pull the wool over his parent's eyes... Simon's hero is back with the kind of antics that would make Supernanny rip up her sticker chart.' -- Janet Christie SCOTLAND ON SUNDAY 'A flicker of recognition much pass through most teachers and parents when they read Horrid Henry. There's a tiny bit of him in all of us... The latest book is already proving to be as popular as ever. It didn't even make it to the library shelves and there's a long waiting list for it! Enough said.' -- Nancy Astee CHILD EDUCATION 'Horrid Henry is a fabulous anti-hero: monstrously selfish and greedy, he does things most children only dream about... A modern comic classic.' -- SF Said GUARDIAN CHILDREN'S BOOKS SUPPLEMENT 'Little boys just can't get enough of Horrid Henry.' -- Richard Varley THE DAILY TELEGRAPH 'I love the Horrid Henry books by Francesca Simon. They have lots of funny bits in. And Henry always gets into trouble!' -- Mia, age 6 BBC LEARNING IS FUN
