Antiques Source Book 2001-2002: The Definitive Annual Guide to Retail Prices for Antiques and Collectables (Antiques Source Book: The Definitive ... Retail Prices for Antiques and Collectables)

by Martin Miller (Author)

Synopsis

Martin Miller is a legend in antiques publishing. Last year, the man who started Miller's Antiques Price Guide and cofounded the Lyle Antiques Review brought you the first edition of his best idea yet: an annually-updated, full-colour illustrated guide to antiques prices, based on retail outlets. Following the success of this ground-breaking new guide, this year's edition continues the high quality, full-colour standard of the first book. In addition to avoiding the wild variations in price which can be a feature of auction sales, many of the items featured, or similar objects, will still be available for purchase when the book is published, for those keen to hunt down a particular piece. In a handy paperback format, this is the perfect companion for your antiques hunts, as well as an excellent reference source for identifying and valuing your own antiques. Including extensive entries for collectables - the increasingly popular 'antiques of the future' - and an index of dealers and antique markets, the Antiques Source Book contains everything you need to know about buying antiques and collectables.

Author Bio
Martin Miller has been involved in the antiques business since the 1970s, when he started the Lyle Gallery. His first book, The Lyle Official Antiques Review, was published in 1970 and was an immediate hit, selling 30,000 hardback copies annually. In 1979 the first edition of Miller's Antiques Price Guide was published and became the bible of both the antiques trade and the interested antiques hunter. In 1988, Miller's Collectables Price Guide was launched to similar acclaim and sales. Martin also runs hugely successful hotels, and frequently appears on television in both American and the UK. Publicity for the first edition of his book included features in major national newspapers and magazines, as well as TV and radio interviews.
