Guilt-free, Fat-free Cookbook

by Anne Sheasby (Author)

Synopsis

Just a glance through this compendium should convince you that reduced-fat food can be colourful, tasty and easy to cook. There is an array of deceptively rich, tempting dishes along with lighter versions of contemporary classics. The dishes are low in fat - none have more than 5 grams per portion, and many have less than 1 gram. There is at-a-glance nutritional information for every recipe, calculated on a single serving, so that you can see at once how little fat each contains. The recipes are written in an easy-to-follow step-by-step format with colourful pictures of every stage, and each recipe has a fabulous photograph of the finished dish. Unlike an ordinary recipe book, in the introductory pages, you should find just about everything you need to know about mastering the art of fat-free cooking. There are guidelines for healthy eating; simple ways to cut down on fat; fat-free cooking techniques; information on how to cook with low fat and no fat products; and easy to read fat content charts for all the popular foods and products.
