Heathers (New Plant Library)

Heathers (New Plant Library)

by Andrew Mikolajski (Author), David Small (Author)

Synopsis

Heathers have enjoyed a marked increase in popularity as garden plants. Not only are they able to survive and flourish in even the most severe climates, but they provide a source of colour for the entire year, with a species in flower every month and many that boast attractive year-round foliage. This book divides into three sections: an introduction to heathers including their history and classification; a plant catalogue with a complete guide to over 50 varieties with botanical descriptions, flowering times and foliage colours; and a growing guide with everything you need to know, from buying and planting in raised beds and borders to controlling pests and diseases.
