Author Bio
Dorothy McMillan lectures in English Literature at Glasgow University. She is joint editor with Douglas Gifford of A History of Scottish Women's Writing (EUP). Her publications include an edited collection of non-fiction writing from 1700-1900, called The Scotswoman at Home and Abroad (ASLS). Most recently she co-edited an edition of Jane Austen's Emma for the Cambridge University Press (2005). She is past President of the Association for Scottish Literary Studies.
