Author Bio
Mary-Joan Gerson, a psychologist, world-traveler and distinguished writer, has published three books for children with Little Brown & Co., including Why the Sky is Far Away (0-31630-874-9), which was a New York Times best illustrated book. She lives with her husband in New York City. This is her first book with Barefoot Books. Maya Christina Gonzalez is an award-winning illustrator and graphic artist. She has illustrated many books for children with Children's Book Press, including Laughing Tomatoes and Other Spring Poems by Francisco Alaron (0-89239-139-1), which won the Pura Belpre Honour Award. Maya lives in San Francisco, California.
