Author Bio
Judith Nicholls is one of England's best-known children's poets. She has appeared on poetry programmes for schools television, including Three Poets in a Zoo and Words and Pictures, and her poems are included in over 300 anthologies. Judith has taught all age groups and, as a writer-in-education, has taken part in performances and workshops with the pupils and teachers of over 500 schools. Married with three children and four grandchildren, Judith lives in Wiltshire. Giovanni Manna's distinctive illustrative style has been exhibited worldwide, and in 1996 he won first prize at Italy's Chioggia International Exhibition. Giovanni has illustrated many Barefoot Books, including The Barefoot Book of Knights (2002) First Morning: Poems About Time (2001), You and Me (2000) and The Barefoot Book of Giants, Ghosts and Goblins (1999). He currently lives in Bologna with his wife and daughter.
