Author Bio
Andrea Shavick is the author of The Truth About Babies and Roald Dahl - What's Their Story? both published by OUP. She also writes children's poetry and adult non-fiction, details of which can be seen on her website www.shavick.com. This is her first picture book for Orchard. Russell Ayto studied Graphic Design at Exeter College of Art and Design, and now illustrates children's books full-time for various publishers. His first picture book Quacky Quack-Quack! (Walker) was shortlisted for the Mother Goose Award and the Smarties Book Prize. This is his first picture book for Orchard, and he will be starting work on another one for publication in 2001. He is married with two children and lives near Banbury in Oxfordshire.
