Synopsis

Once upon a time in a country where everyone had silly names (and the King had the silliest of all) there lived a miller by the name of Eyebrow Snailsocks.

Eyebrow has a problem - he can't stop boasting about his daughter and soon the King decides to find out the truth. So one night, the miller's daughter finds herself locked in a room full of spaghetti which she must knit into vests by sunrise or else...!

Laurence Anholt has written many books for Orchard. The Seriously Silly series won the Smarties Book Prize Gold Award and has been shortlisted for the Sheffield Childrens Book Award and the Federation of Children's Book Groups Award. Laurence lives in Lyme Regis. Arthur Robins' wacky and detailed illustrations perfectly complement the humour of Laurence's stories. An experienced illustrator, he has illustrated picture books as well as young fiction. He lives in Surrey.
