Synopsis

A second case for Victorian sleuth Lord Francis Powerscourt; Early one morning in 1897 a corpse with no head or hands is dragged out of the Thames by London Bridge. There are few clues to his identity and the police call on Lord Francis Powerscourt. Soon his investigation leads Lord Francis to a series of murders at the House of Harrison, a reputable German bank in the City. David Dickinson was born in Dublin. After reading Classics at Cambridge he joined the BBC and was editor of Newsnight and Panorama and series editor on Monarchy, a three part programme on the British royal family. He has two children and lives in London.
