Reviewed by The Good Bookstall - July 2010 This is also a re-working of a well known text.' The Sermon on the Mount made possible for youngsters. This clever adaptation hears the sermon from the view of an eye witness, a little boy called Reuben. There is much wisdom and truth in this book. I could hear myself reading the book aloud and getting the children to join in with actions and noises. (Good teaching tool for any teacher) This book like Shepherds Song - The Sermon on the Mount for Children is nicely illustrated and colourful. Review by Hilary Morgan
Author Bio
Jan Godfrey is an experienced writer for children under 7 years old, with many published books to her name. She was formerly a schoolteacher and has recently retired to Dorset in the south of England with her husband, who is a Church of England clergyman. Honor Ayres is a talented young illustrator, whose first major book, A Child's Bible, topped 100,000 copies in its first printing. Honor is married with two young daughters and is actively involved in her local church.
