What I like about it is that it is very much a man's book , although it can still be read and enjoyed by women. It is about one man's reflections on God - especially God as our father. What also appeals to me is the author's honesty and his avoidance of cliche-ridden answers to questions posed. Brad Lincoln takes the fruit of the Spirit. He explores these as he examines his relationship with God and links this to his relationship with his own children. It is the kind of book which lends itself to reading a chapter a night before going to sleep. That way you're bound to have read it through in about ten days. It contains lots of practical advice as it explores what it means to be a dad. At the end there are some handy questions on each chapter which can be tackled individually or in a group. Brad Lincoln is currently a programme manager, responsible for managing the International Nepal Fellowship's work in the Western region of Nepal. He has been working in Nepal, with his family, for 5 years, and they will complete their time in June 2006 with no current plan to continue there after that date. Prior to INF he worked as a management consultant, an NHS manager, and worked freelance for venture capitalists in the City, setting up businesses.
