  This book talks about one man's attempt to rediscover a day, one week at a time. It begins with the author explaining the gradual loss of a day of rest in his life. What follows is his journey of rediscovery, in the form of a diary, following a decision to practice the discipline of a day of rest each week over a six month period. The setting is mainly Canada, but he also visits the UK in the course of the book. An afterword provides an update on how he has managed to maintain the discipline following his move to be a college principal in Belfast.
