Assist Our Song: Angels Then and Now

Assist Our Song: Angels Then and Now

by Carol Hathorne (Author)

Synopsis

This work presents stories of real life, modern day 'angelic encounters' and tells how these can encourage us as Christians. It intersperses stories with a look at what the Bible teaches about angels. It stresses the role of angels as servants of God, not separate powers. It shows how we can be 'ministering angels' to one another. Many of the stories are gathered through the author's own work as a church minister. A recent ITV poll states that as many as one in three British people believes in angels. There is a widespread fascination with the idea of guardian angels and helpful strangers offering divine intervention. In this absorbing book, Carol Hathorne considers what the Bible has to say about angels and the many roles they perform, from messengers to ministers. She also shares a host of 'angelic experiences' gathered from her work as an assistant minister in the West Midlands. The real life personal stories complement the biblical teaching to produce a very down-to-earth and readable study of these mysterious beings.
