Mike Evans is a specialist in twentieth century popular culture. He has written for a variety of publications including Sounds, Melody Maker and The Guardian since the seventies. His books include the much-acclaimed The Art of the Beatles, the best-selling Elvis: A Celebration, NYC Rock and Wake Up in New York City. A musician himself, he lives and works in London, dividing his time between writing, a freelance editorial consultancy, and his wife, children and grandchildren.
