A former wine columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle from California's Napa Valley, Janice Fuhrman's essays also appeared in Napa Valley, The Land, The Wine, The People (Ten Speed Press, Berkeley, California). She wrote and produced a Public Broadcasting System documentary about Japan, and a recent documentary history of the Napa Valley Vintners Association, 'Bottling Poetry.' She lives in northern California with her husband and two sons.
