Clive Coates is a Master of Wine and is one of the world's leading wine authorities. He has published The Vine, his independent fine wine magazine, since 1985. It is read internationally and has received numerous awards. He is the author of Claret, Wines of France, Grand Vins: the Finest Chateaux of Bordeaux and their Wines, An Encyclopedia of the Wines and Domaines of France. Cote d'Or: a Celebration of the Great Wines of Burgundy won the Andre Simon, Champagne Veuve Clicquot, and James Beard Awards. He contributes regularly to various international publications and regularly gives talks to audiences throughout Europe and the USA. He lives in London.
