Author Bio
Michael Cooper is the foremost authority on New Zealand wine. He has written over 30 books and has won several major literary awards, including the Montana Medal for Non-Fiction. He is author of the bestselling Michael Cooper's Buyer's Guide to New Zealand Wines (now in its 17th edition) and is a senior judge in many New Zealand wine competitions. Michael Cooper is the New Zealand consultant for Hugh Johnson's bestselling annual Pocket Wine Book and the acclaimed World Atlas of Wine, which Johnson co-authored with Jancis Robinson. In the 2004 New Year Honours, Michael Cooper was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to wine writing.
