Synopsis

Set in Norwich, Hector's Wheels follows a remarkable beagle on his adventures with his brother, Reggie. Hector was born with a disabled front leg and was set to go and live his life in a dogs' home, until the perfect human family and a very special American wheelchair came along. Now readers follow Hector as he faces the trials and tribulations that his disability brings and overcomes adversity to lead an exceptionally full and active life.
Readers accompany Hector and Reggie on their many escapades, including some near death experiences and rescues. From railway tracks, to irate workmen, to fast-flowing rivers, Reggie and Hector have escaped and survived, often with the help of their rather panicked humans.
In her debut book, Victoria tells a heart-warming tale, which will be enjoyed by animal lovers. Hector's Wheels is based on the adventures of real-life beagles, Hector and Reggie, who are well-known in their local area of Norwich.
