Author Bio
Bill Mooney served as the associate editor of the Thoroughbred Record, The Thoroughbred Times and Blood-Horse magazines. He received two Eclipse Awards for magazine writing, and four honourable mentions. A well-known historian on horse racing, he appeared on many television documentaries on the equine world. Chris Hawkes has grown up with sport a key part of his life. He played junior rugby against Martin Johnson at Leicester Tigers and later became a professional cricket for Leicestershire CCC, as well as sampling club cricket around the world. A keen golfer, he moved into publishing and was editor of the bestselling Cricketer's Who's Who annual for a number of years. He has written a number of books on a wide variety of sports. George Ennor was a racing correspondent for The Sporting Life for almost 40 years a regular columnist on the Racing Post. and a consultant to the sports agency Racenews. He owned shares in horses - most notably Pelours (who won in his colours) and Gales Cavalier.
