Extraordinary Shorts

Extraordinary Shorts

by Melody Starkey (Author)

Synopsis

Extraordinary Shorts is a collection of stories with unexpected endings, that you can pick up for a few minutes when parents insist that you switch off your computer to read. Jamie, in Cornwall on holiday with his parents, makes a friend that is not all he seems; Paije risks her life to save a girl in trouble; Jonathan gets more than he bargains for when he wanders off on a school trip; Katie finds a new friend who helps her conquer her fear of skiing... The stories in Extraordinary Shorts may give you an idea for a longer story, or maybe a play, or a poem, a piece of music or even a dance! They are something to get your imagination going, something that might even make you want to write similar stories yourself! Look around you, how can you make what you have seen into a story? It won't take you long to get to the end of these stories and find out what happens - but it will be extraordinary... Extraordinary Shorts will appeal equally to children aged 8-11 looking for intriguing stories to read on their own, as well as teachers looking to engage their primary school age pupils.
