Media Reviews
'The information is clearly laid out, and the anecdotes and true life stories are fascinating. Justin comes across as exactly the kind of bloke it would be fun to trek with across the Arctic. Guaranteed to put kids in the mood for outdoor activities.' Love Reading The input from Justin Miles makes the book very accessible and there is a Q&A session at the end of each chapter in which he shows just how he managed to survive tricky situations along the way. the School librarian
Author Bio
JUSTIN MILES is the founder of 'Just for the Challenge', a charity where funds are raised by taking on daring expeditions. His adventures include exploring the Arctic, climbing mountains, exploring deserts and hacking his way through jungles. All of Justin's experiences have been used to support charities and to fuel various education projects. Justin turned his passion for adventure into his profession after a car accident in 1999 resulted in brain injuries which left him having to learn to walk and talk again from scratch. It was during his recovery that he decided that when he recovered he would become a 'full time' explorer and use his experiences to support charities and inspire children to learn through innovative education programmes. Justin is a passionate supporter of the global education programme 'Educate A Child'.
