Evolution: Why Did Fish Grow Feet? and other stories of Life on Earth (Science Made Simple)

by Anne Rooney (Author)

Synopsis

Evolution is a fun, non-fiction narrative story of the evolution of our planet and its inhabitants over the last 700 million+ years. The book follows our rat-like character Nippy as he takes us on a journey through time, from the first stages of life to human's first steps on Earth. It contains bold, colourful images of the great animals that kids love to see and read about - from giant Sauroposeidons to fierce Velociraptors and the mighty early mammals. Every creature and development is put into context using a fun and revealing timeline, which shows when each group of animals lived on our planet and when they met their demise. A brilliant book for children to learn how our planet came to life, and show you all of the major changes on earth - geographical, historical and scientific - up until the present day. There's no bigger story than the story of life on Earth!
