Harry Eyres has been a theatre critic, wine writer, poetry editor and for a decade wrote the 'Slow Lane' column in the Financial Times. He has contributed to the Today programme on BBC Radio 4 and is the author of Beginner's Guide to Plato's The Republic, Wine Dynasties of Europe, The Viking Guide to Cabernet Sauvignon Wines and most recently Horace and Me: Life Lessons from an Ancient Poet. He lives in London. George Myerson has published books on football, ancient and contemporary culture, modern thought, and the philosophy of everyday life. He holds a PhD in English from Cambridge where he currently teaches.
