Synopsis

This book provides 20 beautiful, stylish designs for crocheted purses - some of them are small bags for storing loose change, make-up etc. in your handbag; others are big enough to use by themselves. There are a variety of sizes and styles, with different types of fastening, all worked in various colours, yarns and crochet stitches with added embellishments such as buttons and beads. Some of the purses have attractive fabric linings and others include pretty embroidered motifs. All of the materials used will be widely available both here and in the US. Anna Nikipirowicz is a design consultant, a teacher and a blogger. And you might already have seen her work without realising it. Last September, her crochet had a starring role alongside actress Julia McKenzie in the ITV Miss Marple mystery, Greenshaw's Folly. But there's nothing of the prim, old-fashioned amateur sleuth about Anna's book of purses. Each one is stylish and feminine, and many of them make a playful and fun use of shape and colour. There are frills and bobbles, birds and flowers, stripes and swirls. And there's a character that's contemporary and quirky, but rooted in the tradition and heritage of the craft.

I love the Twenty to Make series. I think they are fantastic value for money. If you are someone who wants to try a craft they are brilliant or if you already do the craft they are brilliant. The projects are fun, interesting, quick & easy to make. Each one of the designs is different so you

will be sure to find something you would like or that you would like to make for someone else. Each of the projects uses different materials to create different amazing looks .I love the different looks.

Some would be great for the day, just for fun and then there are designs that would be good for the evening. I can't wait to make some of the designs. I've got a few I want to make for family and friends. This book is a great addition to the twenty to make series!
