Author Bio
Juliet Gardiner is an historian and broadcaster and has taught at the University of London and Middlesex University. A former editor of History Today magazine, she is also the author of The Thirties: An Intimate History of Britain, The Blitz: The British Under Attack, Wartime: Britain 1939-1945, Over Here : GIs in Britain, 1942-5, The Children's War and The Animals' War. She was historical consultant for Channel Four's series The 1940s House and wrote the accompanying bestselling book. Juliet also wrote the book that accompanied Channel Four's series, The Edwardian Country House.
