Synopsis

In the summer of 1942, Kitty is an ambulance driver stationed in Sussex. She meets Ed, a Royal Marine commando, and Larry, a liaison officer under the command of Mountbatten. Kitty falls instantly in love with Ed, who falls in love with her. So does Larry. The love triangle is set. However, the impact of the war is yet to hit. When it does, it will be devastating, both for those overseas and those left to fight at home.

Author Bio
William Nicholson grew up in Sussex and was educated at Downside School and Christ's College, Cambridge. His plays for television include Shadowlands and Life Story, both of which won the BAFTA Best Television Drama award of their year. His first play, an adaptation of Shadowlands for stage, was Evening Standard's Best Play of 1990. He was co-writer on the film Gladiator, and his film writing credits include Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Les Miserables and Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.
