Stephanie Dowrick is the author of a number of life-changing bestsellers, including Intimacy and Solitude, Forgiveness and Other Acts of Love, and The Universal Heart. She has been a columnist for Good Weekend magazine since 2001 and is a regular guest on ABC Radio. She gives public talks and conducts retreats and workshops on a variety of spiritual, psychological and ethical issues while continuing to write. Born in New Zealand, she lived in London for many years where in 1987 she founded The Women's Press publishing house. She has lived in Sydney since 1983 and is the mother of two teenagers.
