The Good Food Producers Guide: Over 1000 of the Best Food Producers in the UK

by RosePrince (Author)

Synopsis

Most of us know less about what we put inside our bodies and where it comes from than we do about the latest TV soap or the results of the footie. Yet we know deep down that fresh food from the best producers not only simply tastes completely different but does not expose us to harmful chemicals and additives nor endanger the welfare of livestock. This book is a celebration of the most delicious fresh produce to be found in farm shops, delis, street markets and direct from individual producers with personal recommendations, perceptive comment and food revelations by straighttalking Rose Prince, expert food writer and Telegraph columnist. Whether you prefer to order online, support your local producers, or collect some treats next time you are away for the weekend, this guide to over 1000 of the best food producers in the country will give you the knowledge to buy, cook with and eat the most delicious fresh produce the land can offer. Organized by type of produce, with separate sections for each region of the country, each entry gives Rose's individually researched report plus details on website, contact info, opening hours, whether or not a box scheme is available, and much more.
