Media Reviews
By considering children's learning and development through the lens of STEAM Baumgart and Kroll provide a framework that is nuanced, clear and immediately applicable to infant and toddler settings. I highly recommend this book to educators inspired to engage more deeply with the complex minds of the very young. --Chelsea Bailey, PhD, senior research scholar, Anji Child Education Research

Baumgart and Kroll beautifully articulate the natural inclination of infants and toddlers to be scientists. Using pedagogy, research and practical examples they help us notice how children use STEAM processes to make meaning in their world and how we can extend and make visible children's investigations. --Janis Keyser, MA, author of From Parents to Partners
